Job Summary:

The Quality Coordinator โ€“ Risk Manager supports the Director in leading, planning, and implementing the organizationโ€™s quality improvement program to enhance patient care outcomes. This role assists in monitoring performance improvement initiatives, identifying and tracking potential risks, and supporting a culture of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across the organization. The coordinator helps evaluate program effectiveness, supports the implementation of best practices, and ensures accurate documentation and reporting of risk-related activities. Working collaboratively with leadership and interdisciplinary teams, the role contributes to achieving optimal patient safety and organizational performance outcomes.

Shift:ย Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Job Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a medical or behavioral hospital setting

  • A Level One Fingerprint Card is required

  • Flexible with scheduling and assignments; strong time management

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy

  • Strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and effective communication at all levels

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

  • Skilled in conflict resolution and handling patient complaints

  • Ability to track, analyze data, assist with chart audits, and perform assigned special duties

Job-Specific Duties:

  • Maintain the event reporting system and ensure timely completion of incidentreviews and corrective actions.

  • Investigate, document, and report issues related to patient care and safety,including timely reporting and trending analysis.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and data for internal committeesand leadership review.

  • Support the Director of PI/RM in performance improvement projects, policydevelopment, and staff education.

  • Review medical records for quality, safety, and documentation complianceconcerns.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among hospital departments topromote safety and service excellence.

  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and compliance standards.

  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
