Job description

About the Team
The Global Safety and Security team advances DoorDash through the protection of people, property, operations, brand, and reputation. We deliver value through agility, technology, and a people-first mindset-creating environments where employees and guests feel safe, welcome, and confident.
As DoorDash continues to evolve its workplace experience globally, our Corporate Safety and Security team is reimagining how physical security integrates seamlessly into every employee and guest interaction. The Manager, Physical Security Initiatives will play a key role in designing and delivering this next-generation security experience.
About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Associate for an on-shift role within the intelligence team in DoorDash's Global Operations Center (GOC). Reporting to the Manager, Risk Intelligence and Investigations (RI), this role operates at the intersection of technology, tradecraft, and crisis management-delivering foresight and defining the intelligence guardrails that guide escalation and response that safeguards DoorDash's people, operations, and brand. You will work alongside a small, high-performing team, producing actionable insights and enabling enterprise leaders to mitigate disruptions. You will use your intelligence expertise, creativity, and leadership to solve the information gap in global security.
You are excited about this opportunity because you will...
  • Represent a 24/7 Intelligence Team with Ownership: Represent DoorDash's Risk Intelligence team within the 24/7 GOC as the most senior team member on shift, ensuring consistent analytical rigor, and shift performance through clear leadership and decisive action.
  • Deliver Predictive Foresight with Bias to Action: Produce AI-enabled intelligence that identifies emerging risks early and drives timely, actionable decisions that safeguard operations and brand trust.
  • Leverage Expertise and Technology: Showcase subject matter expertise in geopolitics, meteorology, natural hazards, civil unrest, and investigations. Leverage technology to amplify analytical abilities and maximize intelligence product opportunities.
  • Serve as Intelligence Lead During Critical Incidents: Act decisively as on-shift intelligence lead by providing risk assessment, foresight, and decision-ready context to support incident command. When required, lead the GOC through a critical incident as a senior team member.
  • Produce Routine and Proactive Intelligence Products: Develop and present a Daily Intelligence Brief, subject-specific INTSUMs, formal intelligence assessments, dashboards, and other ad-hoc intelligence support or products.
  • Alert Detection and Escalation: Continuous monitoring of tactical-level intelligence feeds. Triage alerts and apply effective analytical judgment through escalation procedures. Identify and own emerging event analysis.
  • Advance Automation and Operational Efficiency: Partner with Engineering and Tech Ops to embed automation and analytics into intelligence workflows, reducing manual friction and enhancing speed and accuracy.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally with Proactive Communication: Work closely with Crisis Management, Legal, Comms, Trust & Safety, and GOC Operations to ensure unified escalation, messaging, and decision alignment, while owning analytical judgment and escalation guardrails
  • Drive Global Continuity and Alignment: Lead proactive, structured handovers between Tempe, London, and other regional operations centers, ensuring seamless foresight across the enterprise.
  • Model Composure, Leadership, and Decisive Action: Demonstrate calm judgment, proactive problem-solving, and disciplined execution during dynamic, high-stakes situations-setting the tone for your team and peers.
We are excited about you because you bring...
  • Proven Intelligence Experience: At least 4-6 years of experience in intelligence, crisis management, or global security operations.
  • Analytical and Technical Excellence: Advanced tradecraft skills, including OSINT/SOCMINT fundamentals, working proficiency in GIS tools (QGIS, ESRI ArcGIS, ATAK, etc), and the ability to produce intelligence that drives a decision, not just a summary.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: A basic-moderate level of meteorology and natural hazards literacy with the ability to transform weather data into actionable intelligence products.
  • Creativity and Initiative: The ability to identify what doesn't exist, understand why it needs to, and build it before anyone thinks to ask.
  • Leadership: Experience leading people in either official or unofficial roles. The ability to naturally inspire others by leading through example and mentorship.
  • Proactive Decision-Making: A history of acting swiftly and confidently under pressure, turning intelligence into measurable outcomes during high-stakes events.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to build partnerships across Legal, Comms, and Regional Operations to ensure unified governance and escalation.
  • Automation Mindset: Familiarity with data analytics platforms and a drive to scale predictive capabilities through technology.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a related field, or equivalent professional or military experience.
