Job description

Overview

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.

This position leads a team of associates who facilitate technical innovation and continuous improvement initiatives through enterprise data management. Directs initiatives that improve enterprise data quality, governance, reporting, and analytics. Provides expert guidance and leadership to associate team, management, and lines of business. Oversees all Enterprise Data Warehouse activities, including the creation and maintenance of related documentation. Implements strategies and process improvements that achieve data management goals in alignment with wider organizational objectives.


Responsibilities
  • Data Enhancement - Leads projects and process improvements that enhance the quality, management, and storage of enterprise data. Manages a team of associates who facilitate initiatives and data management. Directs activities that improve profiling, exception reporting, data analysis, and issue resolution as well as general fixes for the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Delegates work tasks and makes adjustments as needed to ensure the appropriate data governance.
  • Business Support - Creates data policies and procedures to be used both within the department and enterprise-wide. Reviews feedback from associates in order to identify areas of improvement within data management capabilities. Oversees data validation and reporting to ensure the quality and completeness of data prior to business use. Directs the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Makes modifications as necessary to Enterprise Data Warehouse processes in order to enhance efficiencies.
  • Managerial Functions - Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company and department goals. Makes appropriate changes to team policies, procedures, and efficiencies in order to meet objectives. Manages the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff. Maximizes department achievements by providing professional development.
  • Business Strategy - Facilitates the implementation of process improvements and strategies that develop the Bank's data management capabilities. Serves as an expert data resource to other management, associates, and project teams. Maintains a strong knowledge of current and emerging technologies or trends impacting the financial service industry.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Risk Management including Enterprise Data Warehouse OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Risk Management including Enterprise Data Warehouse

  • Understanding of data warehousing and transformation as well as extract, transform, and load processes, Knowledge of technologies and trends impacting the financial service and insurance industry.
  • Experience in Banking, Regulatory, Data Warehouse/Data Lakes, AWS/ Snowflake
