Job description

ABOUT RETURNPRO
Retailers have spent decades perfecting the forward supply chain. Returns are the last unsolved frontier, and ReturnPro is solving it. We built the first fully integrated, technology-enabled reverse logistics and ReCommerce platform, unifying distribution, refurbishment, recovery analytics, and disposition strategy into one scalable network.
In the U.S. alone, returns represent an $850B annual challenge. They erode margins, disrupt logistics, damage customer experience, and generate enormous waste. Through our integrated solution spanning SaaS technology, reverse supply chain services, and recommerce, we turn returns from a cost center into a recovery engine. To date, we've diverted more than 100 million pounds of product from landfills, and we're just getting started.
This is not incremental improvement. This is redefining how retailers handle returns at scale. At ReturnPro, returns are a strategic advantage. We are consolidating and professionalizing this space with disciplined execution, data-driven performance, and measurable results.
REVERSE LOGISTICS
NIGHT SHIFT OPS
TEAM LEADERSHIP
SAFETY & QUALITY
THE OPPORTUNITY
ReturnPro is hiring an experienced, energetic, and results-driven Operations Manager to lead second shift at one of our high-volume reverse logistics facilities - FORTX, BENAR, or FRAKY. Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, you will own night-shift execution across receiving, grading, testing, refurbishment, return-to-vendor, and fulfillment, leading a team of departmental supervisors to hit production, quality, and safety targets every shift.
The night shift demands strong leadership. You will be the most senior leader on the floor for much of the shift. You will partner with day shift leadership to keep the facility running cleanly across the 24-hour cycle, drive labor efficiency without sacrificing quality or safety, and develop your supervisors into the next generation of ReturnPro operations leaders.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Shift Operations & Execution
  • Run the second shift end-to-end: open the shift, set the production plan, balance labor against volume, and close out with clean handoff to first shift
  • Drive UPH, throughput, and quality across all night-shift work streams: receiving, grading, testing, refurb, return-to-vendor, and fulfillment
  • Track and report shift-level KPIs in a daily and weekly cadence; identify performance gaps and execute corrective action without waiting for direction
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and control across the shift; ensure clean documentation and audit-ready records for all production and movement
  • Partner with day-shift leadership on cross-shift continuity, equipment readiness, and 24-hour facility performance against plan
  • Support the AGM and GM with budget input, P&L tracking, and General Ledger accuracy for shift-level cost categories

Team & Supervisor Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop departmental supervisors; set clear expectations and hold the bar on performance, behavior, and accountability
  • Own night-shift recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and training; build a stable supervisor bench and reduce shift-level turnover
  • Apply ReturnPro policies consistently in coaching conversations, performance documentation, and disciplinary action, in partnership with People & Culture
  • Communicate operational goals, ReturnPro Standard Operating Procedures, and shift-level priorities clearly to supervisors and frontline teammates
  • Walk the floor every shift - listen, follow up, and build the kind of trust that keeps a night-shift team engaged and productive

Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • Implement, observe, and enforce all safety policies and procedures; maintain a safe, compliant, OSHA-ready work environment across the shift
  • Drive quality standards across all night-shift workflows; investigate operational errors to determine root cause and execute corrective action
  • Support equipment preventative maintenance programs and facility upkeep; flag equipment risk early and escalate to keep the shift moving
  • Ensure equipment, work zones, and break areas are neat, clean, and well organized; enforce ReturnPro housekeeping standards every shift
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities specific to night-shift dynamics such as lighting, staffing patterns, fatigue, security, and act on them

WHAT YOU BRING
Experience & Background
  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, management, or related field - or equivalent operational management experience
  • 5+ years of warehouse, logistics, or inventory operations management experience, with demonstrated supervisor-leadership track record
  • Direct experience in reverse logistics, distribution, or high-volume processing; prior 2nd or 3rd shift leadership a strong plus
  • Working knowledge of production and manufacturing processes, quality systems and standards, and process improvement techniques
  • Working knowledge of business and finance principles, human resources practices, and budget/P&L fundamentals
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other health and safety standards and compliance requirements

Skills & Competencies
  • Strong autonomous decision-maker: comfortable being the most senior leader on the floor without constant corporate overlap
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills; can de-escalate live floor issues and rebuild momentum quickly
  • People leader: develops supervisors through active coaching, holds a high bar, and creates the kind of team people want to work nights for
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator - clear with frontline teammates, credible with corporate, and reliable on cross-shift handoffs
  • Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail; manages competing priorities under shift-time pressure
  • Acts with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality; embodies ReturnPro's values of People, Adaptability, Partnership, Sustainability, and Continuous Improvement

HOW WE WORK
ReturnPro's culture is built around five core values that show up in behavior, not just on walls:
People-Centric Excellence
We put our teammates first. High performance and human dignity are not in tension.
Adaptive Evolution
The industry is changing fast. We evolve faster.
Value-Driven Partnerships
We show up for our customers and each other with integrity and follow-through.
Practical Sustainability
We build for the long term operationally, environmentally, and as a team.
Continuous Improvement
Good enough never is. We challenge every process, every week.
