Their responsibilities typically include conducting market research, gathering user feedback, supporting product development processes, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and monitoring product performance. By working remotely, they utilize digital tools to communicate and collaborate effectively with team members across different locations. This role is ideal for individuals who are organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable working independently.

Job description

Availity delivers revenue cycle and related business solutions for health care professionals who want to build healthy, thriving organizations. Availity has the powerful tools, actionable insights and expansive network reach that medical businesses need to get an edge in an industry constantly redefined by change.
Job Description
At Availity, we're not just another Healthcare Technology company; we're pioneers reshaping the future of healthcare! With our headquarters in vibrant Jacksonville, FL, and an exciting office in Bangalore, India, along with an exceptional remote workforce across the United States, we're a global team united by a powerful mission.
We're on a mission to bring the focus back to what truly matters - patient care. As the leading healthcare engagement platform, we're the heartbeat of an industry that impacts millions. With over 2 million providers connected to health plans, and processing over 12 billion transactions annually, our influence is continually expanding.
Join our energetic, dynamic, and forward-thinking team where your ideas are celebrated, innovation is encouraged, and every contribution counts. We're transforming the healthcare landscape, solving communication challenges, and creating connections that empower the nation's premier healthcare ecosystem.
Availity is hiring Product Managers who operate like owners - elite ICs who can take ambiguous platform problems and turn them into capabilities at scale. You'll lead discovery, define strategy, and drive roadmaps that strengthen our scalable product platform, spanning platform consolidation, API/developer experience, workflow automation, security, and data-powered insights - so Availity delivers an end-to-end platform, not disconnected point solutions.
The Product Manager will be a key member of the leadership team driving the evolution of Availity products. You will lead strategy and execution in new areas of the product involving expansion to new customers (including our API strategy), growth of the eligibility & benefits business, insurance discovery, and scaling payer-provider collaboration workflows. Success in this role means translating complex customer and market insights into clear product decisions, driving adoption and measurable outcomes, and continuously improving the platform foundations that enable long-term growth.
In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the product vision and strategy, setting clear product goals and KPIs, and overseeing the execution of product roadmaps that align with customer needs, market demands, and business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, sales, and marketing, ensuring a seamless delivery of innovative solutions that improve healthcare workflows and enhance the providers' experience. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in product management, a proven track record of leading product teams, and a strong understanding of healthcare technologies. This position offers a unique opportunity to help close the provider-payer gap, while contributing to a growing, industry-leading product and support growth across Availity.
We have open opportunities across the following teams:
  • Essentials
  • Prior Authorizations

Sponsorship, in any form, is not available for this position.
Why you want to work on this team:
  • If you are energized leading a product that is the backbone for millions of users a day, striving to make healthcare better for all.
  • Passionate about product management and working in a dynamic, cross-functional environment where you'll lead and innovate alongside talented teams.
  • Contribute to the growth of an industry-leading platform while advancing your career in a high-impact role.

To be qualified for this role you have:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred (MBA, MS, or equivalent).
  • Over 3 years of product management experience delivering technology-driven products or platforms. Experience within the healthcare space is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience launching and scaling new tech products in technology, financial services, healthcare technology, or top-tier consulting, working on enterprise products.
  • Ownership and track record of delivering strong platform capabilities that enable multiple downstream products, teams, and customer - such as APIs, data platforms, or workflow platforms.
  • Outstanding learning agility - ability to go from zero to deep understanding quickly.
  • Strong product judgment and craft - able to frame ambiguous problems, make principled trade-offs, and drive decisions grounded in customer, business, and technical reality.
  • Ability to operate as a senior individual contributor: setting direction, driving alignment, leading teams, and delivering outcomes without relying on formal authority.
  • Deep partnership experience with engineering, design, and data, with enough technical fluency to influence architecture, sequencing, and scalability decisions.
  • Experience measuring success through adoption, leverage, and long-term impact, not just feature delivery.
  • Comfort operating in highly ambiguous environments where the "right answer" must be discovered, not assigned.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated history of high achievement and consistent career progression.

You will set yourself apart with:
  • Experience in a consulting-type role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in healthcare technology platforms.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Payer and Provider workflows.

What you will be doing:
  • Owning product outcomes, from problem definition through delivery and iteration, for mission-critical, technically complex products.
  • Setting clear product direction by synthesizing customer needs, market dynamics, data, and business context.
  • Leading cross-functional teams through influence, aligning engineering, design, and business stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Driving execution in ambiguity, maintaining momentum, making sound tradeoffs, and moving work forward decisively.
  • Rapidly ramping into new domains and products, developing strong working knowledge of Availity's platforms, data, and healthcare ecosystem.
  • Communicating clearly and credibly with senior leaders, articulating product decisions, risks, and priorities.
  • Raising the product bar, modeling ownership, learning agility, and high standards for thinking and delivery.
  • Contributing to the evolution of Availity's product organization, helping shape how great product work gets done.

Availity culture and benefits:
  • Availity is a certified "Great Place to Work"! Culture is important to us and there are many ways for you to make your mark here!

  • Don't feel like wearing business attire? Cool, you can wear jeans - we are a casual place.
  • We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure, generous HSA company contribution, healthcare, vision, dental benefits and a 401k match program that you can take advantage of on day one!
  • We offer unlimited PTO for salaried associates + 9 paid holidays. Hourly associates start at 19 days of PTO and go up from there with all the same holiday benefits.
  • Interested in wellness? We allow our associates to reimburse up to $250/year for gym memberships, participation in racing events, weight management programs, etc.
  • Interested in furthering your education? We offer education reimbursement!
