Job description

We are looking for an exceptional Vet Assistant / Receptionist to join our team of caring and friendly professionals. This is a dynamic dual role where you will be the welcoming face of our clinic as well as a key support system for our medical team in providing compassionate care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk & Customer Service:

  • Deliver warm, professional customer service to clients and their pets.
  • Answer multi-line phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage appointment scheduling.
  • Maintain clear, empathetic client communication regarding appointments, procedures, and general care.
  • Check clients in and out, process payments, and update client records.

Clinical Support:

  • Assist the Veterinarian (DVM) during physical exams and appointments.
  • Safely and gently restrain animals for examinations, treatments, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Help maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized clinic environment.
  • Prepare exam rooms between patient visits.

Qualifications & Ideal Attributes

  • Veterinary Experience: Previous experience working in a veterinary practice is highly beneficial.
  • Software Skills: Familiarity or experience with AVImark practice management software is a strong asset.
  • Language Skills: Ability to speak Russian is a valuable asset to help serve our diverse client base.
  • Customer-Focused: Strong communication skills and a passion for helping both people and pets.

Schedule & Availability

  • Position: Part-Time
  • Hours: Primary shifts will be evenings and weekends (specifically Saturdays). Flexibility for these hours is required.
