Job description

Job Title: Tower Crew Foreman (Microwave Specialist) Location: Utah (Regional Travel Required) Position Type: Full-Time Wage Range: $29.00 - $35.00 / hour (Depending on Experience) + Weekly Pay

What's In It For You?

Are you a seasoned tower professional who knows how to run a crew efficiently and dial in a link perfectly? At B.H. Inc. (BHI), we look at each other as family, not merely co-workers who punch the same clock. We believe our core responsibility is to develop our people and provide for hardworking families.

To attract the absolute best leadership talent, we offer a premier field compensation package:

  • $29.00 - $35.00/hour with reliable weekly pay.
  • The company completely handles and pays for your hotel lodging (zero out-of-pocket costs), provides a fully equipped company truck/fleet vehicle, and supplies a daily meal allowance (per diem).
  • Our standard production scheduling prioritizes getting you and your crew home for most weekends to rest, recharge, and spend time with family.
  • Extensive compensation package including comprehensive health, vision, dental, and life insurance.
  • A 401(k) retirement plan with company match, plus paid time off (PTO).

As our Microwave Tower Foreman, you will be the field leader running our deployment teams, guiding daily safety, technical execution, and client satisfaction.

  • Crew Leadership & Field Safety: Lead daily tailgate safety meetings (JSA/JHA). Enforce strict 100% fall-protection compliance, OSHA/NATE standards, and actively train and mentor junior Tower Techs.
  • Microwave Installation & Rigging: Oversee and assist with the rigging, hoisting, and mounting of heavy microwave dishes (ranging from 2ft to 10ft+), radomes, waveguides, outdoor units (ODUs), and indoor units (IDUs).
  • Path Alignment (Panning): Lead the pathing process to align dishes precisely with far-end sites, optimizing Received Signal Level (RSL) values to match strict engineering specifications.
  • Testing & Closeouts: Conduct line sweeps, PIM testing, and use specialized test gear (like Anritsu or similar pathing software) to verify link integrity. Capture and compile flawless closeout packages (high-quality photos, configuration logs, sweep data) for the Project Manager.

Qualifications:

We want an aggressive, goal-oriented individual with a proactive, positive attitude who can lead with minimal supervision.

  • Minimum 3 to 5+ years of active tower climbing experience, with at least 1 to 2 years specifically focused on installing and pathing microwave systems. Previous experience as a Foreman or Co-Lead is highly preferred.
  • Valid Competent Climber/Tower Rescue certification and OSHA 30 are required.
  • Deep understanding of RF math, line sweep testing, microwave path alignment procedures, and waveguide connectors/termination. Knowledge of Aviat systems is required.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is mandatory (DOT medical card or CDL is a strong plus).
  • This position demands a 100% travel workload during the week across the region. While crews are home most weekends, you must be willing and able to work weekends when critical network cutovers, tight client deadlines, or weather delays demand it.
