Job description

Join our team as a Project Accountant and play a key role in ensuring accurate, contract-compliant billing for dynamic, client-focused projects. This full-time, hourly position offers the opportunity to collaborate with project team and project managers while gaining hands-on experience in various accounting functions within a supportive and professional environment.
Project Accountant
Complete Project start-up and billings in a timely, accurate approach while following established company processes or procedures. Assist Project Accounting Manager as directed to accomplish billing period goals.
Responsibilities
  • New Project start-up entry/additions.
  • Prepare bath billings and finalize invoices for submission to clients.
  • Ensure all billing transactions are accurately completed and recorded.
  • Communicate, investigate billing issues and resolve with Project Accounting Manager.
  • Review billing status of projects to ensure client & internal billing period dates are met.
  • Vehicle Log entries and ownership of Master log entry/tracking records.
  • Unit Corrections.
  • Support payroll and Sectors to ensure timely posting of weekly timesheets and provide timely timesheet corrections.
  • Generate and review various reports for the billing/accounting Team.

Knowledge and Skills: Project Accountant
Working experience in Deltek, experience with Vision or Vantagepoint a plus.
Attention to detail is a must; strong analytical skills favored
Ability to apply and adapt quickly to new invoicing procedures
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary with positive attitude
Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
This position requires being able to implement and maintain the workflow and assignments adequate for achieving the Company's goals and objectives.
Required Skills:
  • Knowledge of general accounting practices.
  • Working experience in Deltek, experience with Vision or Vantagepoint a plus.

Required Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3 years in project administration, preferably in an engineering or construction related field.

Job Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Annual Salary Range or Hourly Rate: $28.00 - $35.00(Depending on Experience)
