Job description

Description

Assist in the design, integrate, or improve manufacturing procedures and inspection standards. Administering various engineering solutions in the areas of cost savings, productivity or reliability improvements throughout the facility and carrying out projects in the field of Product Development, Manufacturing and Engineering.

Requirements

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Perform routine tasks related to first article inspection, layout, gate masters, and document management of existing part catalog.
  • Assist engineers in resolving manufacturing problems through the direction and deployment of engineering to optimize product performance while minimizing cost.
  • Assist in      conducting design of experiments studies related to design, production methods, and equipment to recommend improvements based on engineering standards and guidelines.
  • Assist in reporting on cost reductions which are a result of design of experiments improvements to improve profit margins.
  • Assist in planning and establishing sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.
  • Assist in the implementation of quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve quality issues and maximize product reliability. 
  • Gather data, analyze results and write reports to learn and make recommendations as a part of a cross functional team of engineers, quality control, operations manager and other staff members.
  • Assist in any other projects the engineering department is working on.    

  Education and Experience Requirements/Preferences:  

  • High School degree/GED 
  • equivalent 0-1-year experience in manufacturing, investment casting foundry is a plus
