Position Summary

The University of Southern Indiana invites applications from experienced professionals for a 10-month, tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Health Administration and Community Health, with a primary focus in health administration. This position is housed within the Kinney College of Nursing and Health Professions and will begin August 1, 2026.

Duties/Responsibilities 

  • Teach undergraduate courses in health administration and community health, with a clear emphasis on health administration.
  • Maintain an active program of research and scholarly activity in health administration, health care systems, or other relevant health-related fields.
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship that supports student success and professional development in health administration.
  • Contribute meaningful service to the University, the profession, and the broader community.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • A doctoral degree in health-related field is required. Applicants with ABD status will be considered at the rank of Instructor if doctoral degree will be completed by the end of their first year of employment. If employment starts in August 2026, terminal degree must be completed by the end of July 2027.
  • Demonstrated interest, experience, or scholarship in health administration. 
  • Evidence of effective team-oriented collaboration.
  • Ongoing commitment to teaching, scholarship, and service.
