Position Summary
The School of Business at Indiana University Kokomo invites applications for a full-time, 10-month, Assistant Professor of Accounting position beginning Spring/Fall 2027. Information about the program can be found at https://kokomo.iu.edu/business/index.html.
The Assistant Professor of Accounting is responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate accounting courses (in-person, hybrid, and online), maintaining an active research agenda, and contributing to service activities at the department, school, university, and professional levels. The position supports the academic mission of the institution, including maintaining high standards aligned with AACSB accreditation expectations.
One of eight campuses of Indiana University, Indiana University Kokomo is a comprehensive non-residential campus located 50 miles north of Indianapolis in Kokomo, Indiana, a city with a population of about 57,000. Committed to student success, the campus serves approximately 3,230 students from a 14-county area in north-central Indiana. lU Kokomo has around 260 full-time faculty and staff. Minimum Qualifications
A doctoral degree in accounting or a closely related field (if the applicant holds CPA certification), teaching experience at the college level with evidence of a commitment to student-focused approach, and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in student-centered teaching. ABD will be considered. We seek candidates with a strong commitment to teaching, research, and service.

Beyond the minimum qualifications identified above, preference will be given to applicants with a doctoral degree from an AACSB accredited university, teaching awards or other evidence of excellence in teaching, professional accounting or finance work experience, CPA, CMA, or other professional accounting certifications, and/or a record of scholarly publications.
