Job description

SALARY RANGE: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour + commission and service charge. The Fitness Supervisor is responsible for supervising all Spa fitness personnel to ensure quality health and fitness services to members and guests. The role is also responsible in assisting all operational aspects of the fitness specialty.

Essential Functions

  • Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life. 
  • Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort.
  • Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
  • Inspect and monitor cleanliness of the fitness, pool, guest areas tennis and pickleball courts and comply with safety and health code requirements.
  • Ensure facility is prepared for proper opening and closing each day.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the facilities including ensuring facility/amenities are in proper working order.
  • Must be the initial and complete source of information regarding what is available at the Spa and all procedures to ensure guest comfort (i.e., treatments, equipment, products and retail items).
  • Arrange for all fitness appointments for ala carte services/activities and packages.
  • Handle all administrative functions of the Spa including: using Spa software, maintaining inventory of supplies, answering telephones, making appointments, and answering questions.
  • Provide fitness tours as necessary.
  • Oversee efficiency of Spa operations at the front desk via proper scheduling of appointments and staff. Communicate with the front desk staff.
  • Review/revise scheduling on a daily basis according to business demands.
  • Assist with billing for all fitness services and retail sales including preparing receipts.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with and provide instruction on Spa software.
  • Assist with inventories and cost controlling in fitness and recreation.
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating Spa front desk team members.
  • Provide CPR/First Aid as necessary.
  • Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

  • Preferred at least 2 years of previous spa/fitness or other hospitality supervisory experience, preferably in a progressive management level.
  • Experience in overseeing fitness teams, attendant teams and reservations operations would be beneficial.

Work Conditions and Schedule

  • Weekend and holiday availability is required as well as flexibility with work schedule.
  • Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Standing and walking for extend periods of time may be required.
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift.
  • Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility.
  • Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling, lifting, pushing, pulling.
