About the Roleย 

The Senior Product Manager is an integral member of the Product Management team that will become a subject matter expert on the software. This role will work cross-functionality to develop product strategies and define requirements that will be used throughout the Product Development Life Cycle.ย 

Responsibilitiesย 

  • Work with theย SCRUMย team to deliver new features and functionality in a specific area of the platform, as well as maintenance and tech debt.ย ย 
  • Establish andย maintainย business and user requirements in the form of User Stories, use cases, and mock-ups withย appropriate levelย of detail for the software development teams to execute on the project.ย 
  • Partner withย the Architects,ย Development andย Qualityย Engineeringย teamsย to ensure all requirements are covered and quality is achieved.ย 
  • Coordinate product specific communications to stakeholders and clients, including release documentation, major milestones, and product deliveries.ย 
  • Drive the productย and businessย planning processes for cross-functional teams.ย 
  • Work withย theย Director of Product to analyze customer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships from an ROI and build-vs.-buy perspective.ย 
  • Assess current competitor offerings and seek opportunities for differentiation.ย 
  • Develop, implement, andย maintainย production timelines across multiple departments.ย 
  • Work with Director of Product to appraise new product ideas and strategizeย appropriate go-to-marketย plans.ย 
  • Perform Continuous Discovery and experimentation to fully understand and map out the problem and opportunity space.ย ย 

Qualificationsย 

  • 6-10 years in product management roles, including story writing and experience as a software subject matter expertย 
  • Experience in the life insurance industry, either directly through salesย andย marketing support, the distribution channel, or through a vendor positionย 
  • Intermediate knowledge of Life and Annuity products and conceptsย 
  • Leadership or mentor experience in executing all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirementsย andย stories, sprint management, testing, documentation, and deliveryย 
  • Prior Agile experienceย writingย stories isย requiredย 
  • Track recordย of successful consumer facing AI/ML product deploymentsย 
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML product development methodologies and infrastructureย 
  • Knowledge of AI ethics, compliance frameworks, and risk managementย 
  • Certified AI Product Manager (CAPM) Certification is a plusย

The base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
