Gardner Health Services currently is recruiting to fill a Medical Assistant position. This position is based out of the Gardner Health Center located in San Jose, CA. This is a Full-time, 40 hour/week position.  Certification as a Medical Assistant is required, however, candidates are welcome to apply who are currently in the process of obtaining their certification and will be certified soon. Candidates determined to possess the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities of a Medical Assistant position shall be considered for immediate hire of placed on a list that will be used to fill future positions as vacancies occur. 

The Medical Assistant position is a key role within Gardner's multiple medical clinics. The positions are responsible for a variety of both hands-on medical and clerical duties. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to stay organized in a busy and fast-paced environment. The candidate must be comfortable working with individuals from a variety of cultures, backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses. Certification as a Medical Assistant and being bilingual in English and Spanish is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

The minimum qualifications of this position is listed below. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved Medical Assistant program
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • CPR Certification
  • Bilingual in Spanish required

Compensation:

Compensation and level of position placement will be determined based on relevant experience and education.
