The term may refer to an Assistant Secretary of Defense or another official who assists with administrative, operational, or policy functions at the Pentagon. These roles typically involve supporting senior leadership, coordinating departmental activities, and contributing to defense policies and procedures. For accurate job titles and descriptions, it's best to consult official Department of Defense resources.
