In this role, you'll resolve issues, build lasting relationships, and help shape how clients experience Atomix. It's a role with real impact, based at our 75,000 sq. ft. headquarters in West Valley City, UT.

About the Role

The Assistant Operations Manager is a hands-on leadership role at the center of our fulfillment operation. You’ll drive accuracy, speed, and team performance across the outbound process, working directly alongside the Warehouse Manager and fully stepping into that role when needed.

Salary: $60,000 – $65,000 annually

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support the daily outbound fulfillment workflow, including order picking, packing, staging, and carrier handoff.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to oversee general supervisory and operational duties across the shift.
  • Assume full Operations Manager responsibilities when the Operations Manager is not in the office, including floor oversight, team direction, and stakeholder communication.
  • Hold the team accountable to accuracy, throughput, and on-time shipping targets across all Micro-Pods.
  • Coach, motivate, and assist in recruiting a team of warehouse associates and foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with the Operations Manager, leadership team, and customer-facing teams via Slack and other platforms.
  • Identify and elevate operational issues, workflow bottlenecks, or quality concerns in real time.
  • Support onboarding and training of new outbound team members.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper lifting technique, pallet jack operation, and facility standards.
  • Assist with special project requests and contribute ideas to improve outbound processes and reduce costs.
Job Requirements
  • Warehouse, distribution, logistics, or equivalent fast-paced operations experience preferred
  • Prior supervisory, lead, or team coordination experience strongly preferred.
  • Four-year degree or equivalent work experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities under time pressure.
  • Clear and professional communicator, written and verbal, with comfort in digital platforms such as Slack and warehouse management systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate a pallet jack and forklift.
  • Competitive salary ($60,000–$65,000, based on experience).
