Technical Editor, Mid
The Opportunity:
As a Technical Editor on our team, you'll bring process management and technical editing skills to help your client's naval organization grow while also identifying areas for improvement. We need your abilities as an analytical problem-solver paired with your attention to detail to effectively communicate insights, findings, and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
You'll work with a team focused on naval capability develop to provide quality, consistency, and accuracy of analytical reports and processes in alignment with naval executive reporting standards. By maintaining these high standards of technical editing and process management, your contributions ensure naval experiments are translated into actionable intelligence for leadership.

You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience with technical editing
  • Experience working with the front office of a military staff
  • Experience writing and editing and managing approval processes for technical documentation for DoD applications, missions, or initiatives such as after-action reports
  • Experience with business process analysis and process improvement met hodologies, including creating process maps using sof tware such as Visio
  • Knowledge of DoD or Navy writing standards and military terminology
  • Ability to edit content from multiple contributors to ensure consistent voice, compelling messaging, and lack of spelling, formatting, and grammatical errors
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and balance numerous priorities while meeting tight deadlines
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with stakeholder analysis, formulating improvements, implementing changes, and developing training materials
  • Experience using AI tools to assist with writing and editing technical documentation

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
