Job description

Love retail, data, and keeping things moving?
Put your organization skills to work behind the scenes.
At Castle Megastore, there's a lot more to retail than what happens on the sales floor. Our Purchasing amp; Inventory Planner helps keep products moving from vendor to distribution center to storeโ€”making sure the right products get where they need to go, when they need to get there.
If you're someone who loves keeping details organized, spotting trends in the data, solving problems, and working with a team to keep things moving, this could be your next adventure.
What You'll Do:
  • Keep product moving. Partner with Buyers, Inventory Management, Merchandising, and our Distribution Center to keep inventory flowing smoothly.
  • Work with the numbers. Assist with sales, gross profit, inventory reporting, transfer requisitions, and other recaps that help our teams make smarter decisions.
  • Own the details. Manage inventory data, upload SKUs, and process purchase orders from entry through approval.
  • Keep vendors on track. Monitor orders and follow up on back orders, returns, credits, and shipping discrepancies.
  • Spot opportunities. Analyze sales trends and product performance to help inform purchasing and product life-cycle decisions.
  • Bring the plan to life. Help roll out merchandising updates, new products, and store presentations across the organization.
  • Get hands-on. Partner with our Distribution Center team to review received merchandise and help ensure products meet quality expectations.
  • Be ready to jump in. From store rollouts to trade shows and everything in between, you'll have opportunities to support the business wherever you're needed.
You're a Great Fit If You...
โœ” Love organizing information and keeping a lot of moving pieces on track.
โœ” Have a sharp eye for detailโ€”but can still see the big picture.
โœ” Are comfortable working with data, reports, and spreadsheets, especially in Excel.
โœ” Know your way around Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
โœ” Enjoy solving problems and figuring out how to make things work better.
โœ” Communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating with different teams.
โœ” Can move comfortably between a computer, a spreadsheet, a warehouse, and the sales floor.
โœ” Thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are exactly alike.
Why You'll Love Working Here
โœจ Competitive starting compensation
โœจ Medical, dental, and vision insurance
โœจ Earned paid time off
โœจ 401(k) with up to 6% company match
โœจ Employee discount
โœจ Ongoing career and leadership development
โœจ Opportunities to work across Purchasing, Inventory, Merchandising, and Operations
