Job description

Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Manager leads RIGID's supply chain function, overseeing the team and its daily, weekly, monthly, and annual activities to deliver high-quality results that support the business's supply chain objectives. This role owns demand planning, forecasting, and purchasing for RIGID, and coordinates supply chain efforts with Truck-Lite Mexico (TLM).

The Manager leads RIGID's SIOP process and builds a robust plan to ensure the right inventory is in the right place at the right time to support the business and sales teams — minimizing finished goods backorders and past dues while maintaining target fill rates and inventory-level goals.

The Supply Chain Manager works collaboratively with the Operations Manager, Sales team, and Engineering team, and builds a high-performing supply chain organization by optimizing team roles and responsibilities to meet current and future business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the RIGID supply chain function and manage the team's day-to-day activities.
  • Lead the forecasting, planning, and purchasing functions for RIGID.
  • Sit on the RIGID senior leadership team and represent supply chain in cross-functional leadership discussions and decisions.
  • Facilitate the coordination of supply chain efforts with Truck-Lite Mexico (TLM).
  • Lead the RIGID SIOP process and build a robust plan to ensure proper inventory levels at the right time to support the business and sales teams.
  • Lead monthly report-outs to senior management.
  • Achieve RIGID inventory targets while ensuring product availability to support customer needs and minimizing backorders/past dues.
  • Lead the identification and execution of best-practice processes to improve supply chain analysis, production supply, procurement, and inventory levels.
  • Manage supplier relationships and conduct business reviews with key finished goods and raw material suppliers.
  • Create and track supply chain key performance indicators (KPIs) to support the RIGID business.
  • Maintain visibility and focus on supplier quality, working closely with the Quality Assurance department.
  • Maintain visibility and focus on customer service, working closely with the Customer Service department.
  • Partner closely with the Operations Manager and Engineering Director on the development and execution of the supplier roadmap, business reviews, supplier scorecards, supplier contracts, and long-term agreements.
  • Foster a strong culture of continuous improvement.
  • Build a high-performing supply chain team and optimize team roles and responsibilities as needed to best support current and future business needs

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, associate's degree, or technical degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of managerial/supervisory experience in a supply chain-related field required.
  • Strong materials management expertise, with an emphasis on procurement and inventory control.
  • ERP experience required; Microsoft Dynamics NAV experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate at senior leadership/executive levels as well as at operational levels across the organization.
  • Team leadership and management skills to build and sustain a high-performing supply chain team.

Additional Information:

  • Office environment; standard 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Mon-Fri hours w/some nights, weekends as needed
  • Up to 10% travel, to both domestic and international locations
