Job description

Human Resources Assistant

Under general supervision, perform a variety of responsible technical and administrative duties in support of the District's human resources programs for certificated and classified staff. Provide information and assistance to employees, administrators, applicants, and the public regarding human resources policies, procedures, and regulations. The Human Resources Assistant is a technical and administrative support role within the District's Human Resources classification series. This position focuses on implementing human resources procedures, supporting compliance, and assisting with day-to-day human resources functions. While working independently on routine tasks, this role differs from higher-level human resources roles in its focus on administrative execution rather than program oversight or complex decision-making. Work Days - Monday - Friday

Requirements / Qualifications

Training and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of increasingly responsible clerical experience, with exposure to human resources functions. Effective October 1, 2024: If you have an AA, Bachelor's, or Master's degree, you must also attach a copy of your high school diploma or equivalent. A college degree cannot be submitted in lieu of a high school diploma, unless your official college transcript clearly displays your high school graduation date and the name of the high school from which you graduated.
