About the Role:
We are seeking an on-site part-time Human Resources Administrative Assistant in our Sterling Heights, MI facility. This individual will be responsible for data entry, record retention both electronic and paper, and support various other administrative Human Resource activities.
Responsibilities to Anticipate/Expect:
  • Will be responsible for administrative functions within the human resource department which may include:
    • Processing check requests.
    • Booking travel and expense reports.
    • Submitting maintenance an facilities requests.
    • Processing Material Requisitions.
    • Ordering lunches for events.
    • Mail distribution and shipping / overnighting items.
    • Processing Purchase Card purchases.
    • Coordination of HR events when needed.
    • Maintaining employee records (physical and electronic as needed) per record retention policies.
    • Ordering of office supplies as needed.
    • Provides administrative support for various HR activities and projects
    • Support other assigned functions and duties.
    • Support administrative Talent Acquisition tasks such as Conference Room booking and scheduling interviews.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma
  • 1-3 minimum years of experience; within Human Resources function preferred.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong decision making.
  • Understanding of Human Resource functions (Benefits, talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Work well under pressure and ability to set priorities to coordinate multiple assignments with fluctuating and time-sensitive deadlines.
  • MS Office and related business and communication tools proficient.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong sense of accountability and the ability to follow up and follow through required.
  • Must handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
