Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking an organized, professional, and service-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team in Milford, DE.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being at the center of a busy operation — supporting employees, patients, leadership, and visitors while helping ensure the day-to-day administrative functions of the facility run smoothly and efficiently.

  • Schedule: Full-time | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM | Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Human Resources with new hire paperwork, onboarding tasks, and training compliance
  • Provide administrative support to facility Directors and other departments as needed
  • Answer incoming calls and direct callers to the appropriate department or resource
  • Welcome and screen visitors, maintain visitor logs, and provide visitor badges
  • Coordinate the scheduling and use of group rooms for employee events, meetings, and classes
  • Sort and distribute internal mail for employees and patients
  • Maintain and track patient financial accounts, including approved additions and expenditures
  • Coordinate approved patient purchases and maintain accurate records of payments and account balances
  • Manage petty cash, including balancing, replenishment, and verification of approved requests
  • Complete bank and Post Office runs for approved patient and facility needs
  • Secure, document, and maintain patient personal property and funds upon admission
  • Coordinate the return of patient property and funds during discharge and maintain accurate records in applicable systems
  • Assist departments in obtaining required patient signatures and notarize documents when authorized
  • Provide facility tours to prospective patients and other approved visitors
  • Maintain accurate administrative records and support day-to-day facility operations
QualificationsRequired:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
Preferred:
  • Some college education
  • Previous experience in a substance use disorder, mental health, or psychiatric treatment setting
  • Experience with KIPU EMR
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Previous experience supporting Human Resources, healthcare administration, or facility operations
