Position Summary Human Resources Assistant Human Resources Full Time Southeast Missouri State University is seeking a friendly and organized Human Resources Assistant to be the first point of contact for our HR department. In this role, you'll greet employees and visitors and support the team with administrative tasks related to all HR functions. Primary Responsibilities Provides comprehensive administrative support to Human Resources Coordinates and issues graduate assistant contracts Ensures both legal and procedural compliance for Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) benefits and other leave requests Monitors and tracks employee-reported leave time and associated medical verifications Reconciles payroll withholding accounts for FICA/Medicare, Federal, State, and international taxes Ensures compliance of employee fee waiver and dependent tuition reimbursement benefits Coordinates monthly personnel action reports for review and approval Processes all electronic and paper employment verifications Monitors and reconciles multiple department budgets Updates and maintains department website Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel Bookkeeping experience or evidence of math skills Evidence of strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service Demonstrated ability to work professionally with all levels of the organization Required Information & Deadline Application Deadline: To ensure full consideration, application materials must be received by July 12, 2026.
