Job Overview:
The Front of House Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily FOH operations to ensure exceptional guest service, smooth service flow, and effective team performance. This role acts as a leader and support role on the floor, supporting staff, resolving guest concerns, maintaining service standards, and assisting management with training, scheduling, and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience:
  • Deliver warm, professional, and attentive guest service at all times.
  • Actively engage with guests, handle complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure dining areas are clean, organized, and set according to standards.
  • Monitor service quality and step in to assist during peak periods.

Team Leadership:
  • Supervise, coach, and support FOH staff during shifts.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate daily specials, events, and expectations.
  • Assist in training and onboarding new team members.
  • Lead by example, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.

Operations & Service Flow:
  • Oversee seating, table rotation, reservations, and waitlists.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and accurate service.
  • Monitor staffing levels and adjust assignments as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.

Administrative & Support Duties:
  • Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and shift coverage.
  • Support inventory control for FOH supplies.
  • Handle cash, POS transactions, and end-of-shift procedures as required.
  • Report operational issues or maintenance needs to management.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Previous experience in a food service or hospitality supervisory role preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of POS systems and basic cash handling.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Food Handler’s Card and alcohol service certification (or ability to obtain).

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
