Job Summary

The Restaurant Experience Assistant Manager (Planning) plays a crucial role in supporting the system with operational tools to maximize guest experience. This will include direct franchisee communications with hierarchies, testing, implementing, and supporting Operational Assessments and Check for Executions, supporting the field team with questions and issues, and work cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors to support product and process rollouts. Your work will help drive efficiency, enhance the guest experience, and improve overall operational performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Testing, Implementation & Evaluation: Assist in testing new operational tools and forms to ensure they meet operational standards and improve overall restaurant performance.
  • Field Support: Provide ongoing support to field operations teams by answering questions, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring equipment and smallware usage aligns with operational goals.
  • Franchisee Hierarchies & Communications: Assist system with communications relating to operational tools. Assist franchisees with changes to hierarchies and other franchise relations issues related to operational and guest experience tools.
  • Guest Experience Strategies & Insights: Develop reports and dashboards with KPIs. Assess effectiveness of digital customer engagement directly related to SONIC Restaurant Experience initiatives. Propose strategies to improve restaurant experience leveraging the data and insights.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Min/Preferred 4 Year/Bachelor’s Degree Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Analytics, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum Years of Experience 2+ years of restaurant operations or a related field experience
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze operational data.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with field teams and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on innovation and continuous operational improvement.
  • Knowledge of restaurant data and operational processes preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; restaurant industry experience preferred.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand software platforms that are utilized in operational data analysis.
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Travel Required Minimal (Up to 20%)
