Fusion Ranch Inc. is seeking an experienced finance professional. This position will play a key leadership role in supporting operational growth, financial reporting, cost management, and long-term strategic planning within the jerky and snack foods industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is comfortable working cross-functionally with ownership, operations, sales, and production teams.

Position Summary

The Finance Manager / Controller will oversee accounting and financial functions for the company, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and financial visibility across operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, food production, CPG, or multi-entity accounting environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily accounting and finance operations in Nebraska.
  • Manage month-end and year-end financial close processes
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reporting
  • Lead cost accounting initiatives, including inventory valuation, manufacturing variances, labor analysis, and margin reporting
  • Support pricing analysis, transfer pricing, and profitability evaluations across product lines
  • Coordinate with external CPA firms, banks, auditors, insurance providers, and regulatory agencies
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax requirements, and company financial policies
  • Assist leadership with strategic planning, capital expenditure analysis, and operational decision-making
  • Develop and improve financial processes, reporting systems, and ERP utilization
  • Support inventory controls and reconciliation activities in coordination with operations and warehouse teams
  • Supervise or support accounting staff as company growth continues
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, food manufacturing, CPG, agriculture, or distribution strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management
  • Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite experience preferred)
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
Preferred Experience
  • Multi-entity or multi-state accounting experience
  • Experience supporting privately held or family-owned businesses
  • Knowledge of USDA-regulated manufacturing environments is a plus
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and operational KPI reporting
