This position will participate as a key team member in a wide variety of improvement projects and analysis with the goal of increasing both operational efficiencies and internal controls. This position will perform a wide variety of tasks and non-routine responsibilities including analysis of financial data; reviewing, documenting, and improving processes, procedures and systems; extracting, organizing and analyzing financial data from various databases. This position will also perform various accounting duties including account reconciliations, capital asset verifications, assisting departments with journal entries and other accounting duties as assigned. Serve as primary contact for financial security in SAP, assist with the annual year end audits, Service Center reviews, and assist with Facilities and Administrative Rate proposal.
Job Duties
Responsibility Area: Financial Analysis and Reporting Duties:
1. Prepare routine and special analytical studies and reports.
2. Extract data from native Enterprise Systems (SAP and Peoplesoft) or a data
warehouse or other sources using EXCEL and other data extraction
tools.
3. Monitor and analyze budget and expenditure data, including variance analysis,
reconciliations and projections.
4. Assist Business & Finance managers with presentation and analysis of
department financial operations.
Percentage Of Time 40 Essential Function: Yes Responsibility Area: Financial Operations Review & Support Duties:
1. Assist the Controller and Senior Management in responding to audits and
outside consultants.
2. Assist the Controller and Senior Management in preparing presentations.
3. Assist with the development and documentation of policies and procedures.
4. Perform account reconciliations, asset verifications, process journal entries.
5. Work with Department managers on data collection, process review, problem
solving, and employee training and education.
6. Grant SAP financial security for financial areas on UNO Campus.

Assist the Controller in reviewing Service Center budget/questionnaires for compliance. Also assist with any F&A rate proposal processes.
