iP-Plus Consulting is a mission-focused technology and cybersecurity services firm supporting Federal agencies across defense, logistics, and national security sectors. The company specializes in delivering cybersecurity engineering, information assurance, systems integration, and technology modernization solutions that protect critical infrastructure and enable secure mission operations.

Position Overview

iP-Plus Consulting is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer 1 to support an upcoming Federal cybersecurity technology program. This role supports enterprise information assurance engineering activities across cybersecurity tools and platforms, including web application firewalls, governance and compliance systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and enterprise log management capabilities.

The Cybersecurity Engineer will provide technical support for the planning, design, development, integration, testing, and sustainment of cybersecurity technologies used within a large Federal mission environment.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze cybersecurity requirements and apply information assurance principles to enterprise systems.

Support integration and sustainment of Web Application Firewall (WAF) technologies supporting web assets.

Assist with implementation, tuning, and maintenance of F5 BIG-IP Application Security Manager (ASM) policies.

Conduct security engineering activities including:

  • vulnerability assessment supports
  • security testing and validation
  • Support patching, configuration updates, and lifecycle maintenance of cybersecurity tools.

Assist in development of technical documentation, implementation guides, and standard operating procedures.

Participate in system troubleshooting and root cause analysis related to application security issues.

Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and refine security controls for enterprise applications.

Support cybersecurity engineering efforts aligned with DoD and Federal information assurance policies.

Minimum Qualifications

7+ years of relevant IT / cybersecurity experience

Must meet DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level III certification requirements

Must be eligible for IT Level I access

F5 Certified Technology Specialist – ASM (Computing Environment Certification)

Preferred Skills

Experience supporting enterprise WAF deployments

Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity frameworks

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Employment is expected to begin upon successful award and funding of the program.
