Job description

In the appointment of Teaching Assistant, your general duties and responsibilities will be:

Example: Preparing, delivering and/or attending lectures; demonstrating, marking, student consulting, invigilating, holding office hours, setting up experiments, supervising field trips and conferring with the supervisor in charge as required by the assignment for GE 348
Your general location of work will be within the College of Engineering
Required Number of Hours: up to 12 hours/week
Duration of Employment: 2026 Fall Term
Course Name, Abbreviation and Number: GE 348, Engineering Economics
Start and End Dates: i.e. September 1 to December 31 2026
Qualifications (Skills and Abilities) see the attached table.

Minimum of a B.Sc. degree or equivalent in Engineering and teaching experience engineering economics and decision analysis background, or topics like fundamental economic concepts, cost concepts, time value of money operations, comparison of alternatives, depreciation and income tax, economic analysis of projects in the public and private sectors; break-even analysis, sensitivity and risk analysis, decision models.

Maintain good academic standing.
Must be well organized, possess good communication skills, enthusiastic, and demonstrate excellent and effective study skills and time management skills.
