Network Engineer plays a critical role in supporting DoD contracts and Joint Fires Network (JFN) infrastructure by providing expertise in network architecture and transport engineering. Partnering directly with customers, the engineer plans, designs, implements, and sustains secure communications and transport solutions that enable reliable data exchange across classified facilities and cloud environments. The role involves installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network equipment; monitoring system performance; and applying DoD Information Assurance policies. In addition, the engineer maintains a comprehensive library of engineering tools, produces detailed documentation and tutorials, and consistently applies leading‑edge standards and best practices to ensure a robust, compliant, and high‑performance networking environment.CORE FUNCTIONS / JOB DUITESAble to perform the following independently, under minimum supervision:Design and implement communications solutions which can be deployed to field/remote locations to connect secure facilities and support the exchange of required data within a cloud environment and network solutions based on organizational needs and best practices.Assist in the designing and implementing of approved networking and transport solutions to support long-term Information System (IS) management goals.
