ABOUT OPEN ROAD BRANDS

Open Road Brands designs and manufactures home décor, wall art, puzzles, flags, decals, and auto accessories sold through wholesale, retail, and digital channels nationwide. Our purpose is to create products that connect — transforming art into scalable products people bring into their homes. We hold licensing partnerships with some of the most recognized brands in entertainment and sports, and we operate on EOS (the Entrepreneurial Operating System) with a leadership team aligned around Drive, Creativity, Getting Stuff Done, going the Extra Mile, and Doing What’s Right.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Digital Marketing Manager owns the strategy and execution of Open Road Brands’ digital marketing across direct-to-consumer, marketplace, and wholesale digital channels. This is an individual contributor role responsible for the campaign calendar, social media presence, paid digital advertising, and the reporting that shows what is working.

This position sits within the eCommerce & Digital Marketing team and works closely with product development, sales, creative, and licensing. Success requires someone who can move between strategy and hands-on execution, make decisions from performance data, and translate licensed and seasonal product lines into digital campaigns that drive revenue.

CHANNELS SUPPORTED

  • Direct-to-consumer eCommerce (Shopify)
  • Third-party marketplaces — Amazon, Walmart.com, and emerging platforms
  • Wholesale and B2B digital channels
  • Print-on-demand, dropship, and affiliate channels

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Marketing Strategy & Campaign Calendar

  • Build and execute the digital marketing strategy in support of ORB’s eCommerce and wholesale revenue objectives.
  • Own the content and campaign calendar across social, email, marketplace, website, and paid digital.
  • Plan and run product launch campaigns tied to seasonal releases and licensed product lines.
  • Partner with eCommerce, product development, sales, creative, and licensing to keep campaigns aligned to the commercial plan.

Social Media & Community

  • Manage and grow ORB’s presence on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Create and schedule platform-specific content that carries the brand voice across the ORB and licensed portfolio.
  • Respond to comments, questions, and community engagement in a timely, on-brand way.
  • Track engagement and audience metrics and adjust content based on what performs.

Paid Digital Advertising

  • Plan, launch, and optimize paid campaigns across Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, and marketplace advertising.
  • Recommend budget allocation across channels and manage bidding, targeting, and creative testing within the approved budget.
  • Report ROAS, CAC, and conversion performance with clear recommendations on where to scale and where to stop.
  • Test new formats and platforms and bring forward a point of view on what deserves further investment.

Content & Brand Storytelling

  • Develop campaign concepts and promotional messaging consistent with brand voice and licensing partner guidelines.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate copy, concepting, and content production without sacrificing brand quality.
  • Work with the creative and design teams to source and produce digital assets on campaign timelines.

Analytics, Reporting & Optimization

  • Maintain tracking and tagging across digital channels using Google Analytics 4 and platform-native tools.
  • Own the digital marketing dashboard and report performance to leadership on a set cadence.
  • Run A/B tests and apply findings to improve conversion and return on spend.
  • Translate performance data into recommendations leadership can act on.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on digital marketing experience in eCommerce, retail, or DTC.
  • Demonstrated ownership of social media across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn — content creation, scheduling, community management, and analytics.
  • Working proficiency in Google Analytics 4, including custom events and reporting dashboards.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify or a comparable eCommerce platform.
  • Experience managing paid campaigns on Meta, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, or marketplace advertising platforms.
  • Practical use of AI tools for marketing copy, content ideation, and optimization.
  • Experience with email marketing, marketing automation, or CRM platforms.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to run multiple campaigns at once and hit deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including presenting results and recommendations to cross-functional partners.

Preferred

  • Amazon Advertising experience (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Display).
  • Print-on-demand or dropship marketing experience.
  • Familiarity with licensed product marketing or entertainment and sports brand partnerships.
  • Video content creation or editing for social platforms.
  • Category familiarity with home décor, seasonal, tabletop, or impulse products.
  • Exposure to Oracle NetSuite or a comparable ERP.

SUCCESS MEASURES

Performance in this role is evaluated against the following, reviewed at 90 days and annually:

  • Digital channel revenue and return on ad spend against plan.
  • Campaign calendar published and maintained; launches supported on schedule.
  • Growth in audience and engagement across owned social channels.
  • Reporting delivered on cadence, accurate, and used by leadership to make decisions.
  • Cross-functional partners report campaigns are aligned and communicated on time.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is an on-site position based at Open Road Brands’ Kansas City office, performed primarily in an office environment. The role requires extended periods of computer work, frequent communication in person and by phone or video, and the ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds when handling product samples for photography or content capture. Occasional work in warehouse or production areas may be required for product photography and content shoots. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT

This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required, and duties may change at any time with or without notice at the discretion of Open Road Brands.
