Who We Are

Horizon Sports and Experiences (HS&E) includes the merger of Horizon Media's Scout Sports and Entertainment division and was created to provide a differentiated and comprehensive approach for clients engaging in sports and experiential marketing. With a fully-integrated service model, HS&E includes a core focus on IP creation and monetization, strategic advisory and consulting, media rights, sponsorship, sales, and experiential strategy and activation - transforming marketers' ability to more seamlessly and effectively leverage their brand assets, content, and engagement strategies to drive increased growth. In addition, given the transformative impact that Web3 and the metaverse are expected to have in both the sports and experiences arenas, Horizon Media's recently launched metaverse consultancy, Chapter & Verse, also resides under the expanded offerings of HS&E.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

This role reports directly to the Head of Social Content and supports the execution of social media, content production, and brand storytelling across HS&E platforms.

60% - Internal + External Brand & Content Production

  • Understand and uphold HS&E's brand voice and tone across all content
  • Manage and maintain operated channels as assigned (Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube)
  • Create and edit short-form video and social-first content
  • Develop and maintain social content calendars in collaboration with account teams and the Head of Social
  • Assist with social content strategy, ideation, and copywriting based on monthly content briefs
  • Support account teams with content and assets for case studies and marketing materials
  • Identify and negotiate with influencers that resonate with our client's/properties' audience
  • Assist in content capture for select clients and properties

20% - Strategy & New Business Growth

  • Support new business pitches with social content and brand materials
  • Maintain and organize the HS&E brand library (case studies, decks, creative assets, press)
  • Track industry trends, competitor activity, and relevant events or sponsorships

20% - Client Management

  • Identify opportunities to amplify HS&E activations through social content
  • Assist with special projects, including brand marketing initiatives and events
  • Present ideas and strategies that align with business goals

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in social media, digital content, or brand marketing
  • Professional camera operating skills (DSLR, RED, etc)
  • Strong video editing skills and experience creating social-first content
  • Experience managing brand social media channels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Salary Range

$66,300.00 - $90,000.00

A successful applicant's actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual's skill sets, experience, training, education, licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role.
