Continental Finance Company specializes in credit card options for those consumers with less than perfect credit. We are seeking a Compliance Analyst to support our Compliance team.


Position Summary

The Compliance Analyst I supports the execution of the Company’s Compliance Management System (CMS) by assisting with compliance monitoring and testing, regulatory change management, complaint analysis, policy maintenance, and other compliance program activities.

This role supports compliance oversight across the Company’s consumer financial products, including credit card programs, point-of-sale lending programs, and other consumer lending partnerships. The Compliance Analyst I works closely with Compliance leadership and business units to help ensure the Company operates in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies governing these programs.

The Compliance Analyst I performs assigned compliance activities, documents results, and escalates potential issues to Compliance leadership while developing a foundational understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance risk management practices.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the execution of the Company’s Compliance Management System (CMS), including compliance monitoring and testing, regulatory change management, policy maintenance, complaint analysis, and compliance training.
  • Assist with compliance program activities across multiple consumer financial products and partner programs, including credit card programs, point-of-sale lending, and other consumer lending offerings.
  • Execute assigned compliance monitoring and testing procedures and maintain appropriate documentation and workpapers supporting testing activities.
  • Document testing results, draft summaries of findings, and escalate potential compliance issues to Compliance leadership for review.
  • Assist with tracking regulatory developments and supporting the Company’s regulatory change management process across applicable lending and credit programs.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance policies and procedures, including supporting updates to reflect regulatory or operational changes across multiple programs and partnerships.
  • Maintain documentation supporting compliance program activities, including monitoring and testing workpapers, regulatory tracking logs, and issue management documentation.
  • Support preparation for internal audits, regulatory examinations, and partner oversight reviews.
  • Assist with tracking compliance issues, findings, and corrective action plans to support timely remediation.
  • Partner with business units to understand operational processes and identify potential compliance risks associated with new products, partnerships, or program changes.
  • Support ongoing enhancements to the Company’s Compliance Management System (CMS) as the Company expands its consumer financial product offerings.
  • Assist the Compliance VP, SVP, and Chief Compliance Officer with other projects and compliance initiatives as needed.

The ideal candidate will have the following:


  • 1–2 years of experience in compliance, risk management, audit, legal support, or consumer financial services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, law, or a related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge or familiarity with consumer protection laws and regulations applicable to consumer lending and credit cards, such as:
    • Truth in Lending Act (TILA)
    • Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
    • Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA)
    • Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA)
    • Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP)
  • Exposure to compliance monitoring, testing, audit support, or regulatory review activities is preferred.
  • Familiarity with fintech, banking, credit card programs, or consumer finance operations is a plus.
  • Professional compliance certification such as CRCM, CAMS, or CCEP is a plus but not required.
