About the role

The Gersh Agency is hiring a new and exciting position that will support our Comedy Department in LA. We are looking for a highly motivated, and detail-oriented Comedy Floater to work closely with agents and assistants in the Comedy Department. Primary responsibilities include assisting with the administration of contracts, tracking authorizations and correspondence, tracking payments and deadlines, and analyzing/mitigating discrepancies. The ideal candidate has an interest in learning the comedy business, and is able to juggle constantly changing priorities, provide administrative support in a high-pressure environment, and work well within a team. This role will be floating and requires strong math and analytical skills.

This position is on-site in our Beverly Hills office.

Duties

  • Track and monitor personal appearance contracts, deposits, final figures
  • Manage ticket counts for shows and help with research as needed
  • Special projects may include helping agents prepare for trade shows, conferences, etc.
  • Manage a high volume of phone calls and emails
  • Effectively communicate and interact with internal staff, talent, managers, and purchasers with utmost professionalism
  • Ability to make sound decisions efficiently and effectively using critical thinking and practical approaches
  • Covering desks when primary assistants are out

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Personal Appearance/Concert/Touring/Live Events experience preferred
  • Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion
  • Prior Talent Agency experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with numbers accurately and efficiently
  • Superior time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Able to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills are paramount
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to make a 1-2-year commitment is strongly preferred

Compensation
