Job description

Job Summary

Outback Presents is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Talent Buyer to join our growing comedy booking team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone passionate about comedy and is looking to build a career in talent buying.


Working alongside senior talent buyers, agents, and promoters, the Junior Talent Buyer will assist with artist research, market analysis, routing, administrative coordination, and the booking process for various comedy events associated with Outback Presents. This position offers hands-on experience with the industry’s leading independent promoter and provides a clear path for professional growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support Senior Talent Buyers throughout the talent buying and booking process
  • Research emerging artists, comedians, and touring acts across multiple genres
  • Build and maintain relationships with agents, managers, and independent comics.
  • Coordinate with artist agents, managers, venues, and internal departments regarding holds, offers, and confirmations
  • Track tour announcements, festival lineups, nearby local events and industry trends to identify premiere booking opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing, ticketing, and operations teams to support successful event execution
  • Assist in building and maintaining artist availabilities, venue calendars, and routing opportunities across multiple locations
  • Monitor ticket sales and audience feedback to improve future bookings.
  • Maintain accurate booking databases, calendars, contracts, and internal documentation.
  • Perform additional administrative and project-based duties as assigned


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associate degree (minimum) from an accredited college or university; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Internship or professional experience in talent booking, venue operations, artist management, event production, or a related field is preferred
  • Must Live in Nashville, TN
  • Some Travel Required
  • Strong knowledge and passion of the stand-up comedy industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to resolve conflicts quickly.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Proficiency in booking software’s or organizational tools (Prism, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, particularly Excel and sheet
