Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review Plans & Shop drawings for compliance with construction documents & QC Guidelines.
  • Inspect all installations on the project assigned for compliance with QC checklists and construction documents.
  • Assist with pre-install meetings prior to trades commencing work and follow up as new employees are added to the project to ensure all installation, mixing, processes & products are per approved submittals.
  • Assist with ensuring final plans/ as builts are updated to reflect all building components installed.
  • Coordinate & Advise Quality Control Manager for items out of compliance.
  • Maintain positive communication with subcontractors, office, owner, design teams and inspectors.
  • Create and/ or assist the Quality Control Manager in generating RFIs as needed with possible solution recommendations.
  • Potential to assist with overseeing trade contractors for specific scopes of work related to QC, sequencing and schedule.
  • Assist the Quality Control Manager & Superintendent as needed to ensure work is always supervised.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school education and a minimum of 4 years of field-related experience.
  • Must possess some knowledge of the facets in construction (i.e. A1A Divisions 1 -16)
  • OSHA 10-hour certification is preferred, but can be obtained.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products, Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to use Procore Software preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid Florida Driver's License required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to sit with back at a 90-degree angle for several hours of the day.
  • Ability to look at a computer for several hours per day.
  • Full dexterity of wrists and fingers is required with repetitive motions.
  • Ability to hear and speak on a standard telephone.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull or carry up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to regularly lift, push, pull or carry up to 15 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally lift files, open filing cabinets by bending at the waist or standing on a stool as necessary.
  • Potential to be exposed to rain and/or extreme heat in an outdoor environment.
  • Potential to be exposed to loud noises and machinery for long periods of time.
  • Potential to be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock, and vibration.
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 10 hours in a day.
