Key responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Crew Chief or a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer:
    • Perform inspection(s) and assist with dismantling, assembly, repair and/or overhaul of aircraft systems and components on Company aircraft;
    • Carry out sheet metal repairs to aircraft components;
    • Carry out sheet metal repairs on Company aircraft;
  • Develop ability to read Structural Repair manual;
  • Develop an understanding of aircraft defect troubleshooting and the methods used to carry out corrective action;
  • Maintain Company aircraft in an airworthy condition by carrying out assigned maintenance tasks using approved maintenance data and procedures;
  • Identify and report defects or other issues that may affect the serviceability or operational status of aircraft;
  • Become familiar with Transport Canada Company manuals and documents;
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Company policies, standard practices, and applicable Transport Canada regulations;
  • Maintain the work area in a neat and tidy condition;
  • Perform duties in accordance with our established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, the safety of co-workers and customers;
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.


Required qualifications

  • All credentials listed below must be obtained and maintained as a condition of employment:
    • Graduate of an accredited Transport Canada-approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) program, Category S;
    • Transport Canada accreditation;
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC);
    • Valid Canadian-issued driver's license with no restrictions or conditions;
    • Ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Vehicle Operator's Permit (AVOP);
  • Willing and able to work varying shifts;
  • English language fluency or working knowledge.


Preferred qualifications

  • Holds a current Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License;
  • Working towards obtaining a Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License;
  • Line aircraft maintenance experience.
