GIS SPECIALIST - PRODUCTION
Work Location: Sacramento, CA; ONSITE
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate with hardware and software vendors to ensure a problem-free operating environment.
  • Implement quality control procedures.
  • Oversee procedures performed by associate specialists and data technicians.
  • Monitor and ensure proper data backup procedures.
  • Approve and release final product databases, maps, and reports when delegated.
  • Assist management in preparing and implementing user and project setup, accounting, and security.
  • Perform mapping and database management functions on multiple projects.
  • Create schemas and workflow procedures for enterprise GIS operations.
  • Manage various data collection technologies.
  • Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary GIS team.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Related Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in natural sciences, engineering, or computer sciences.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of GIS production experience using ESRI software.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience using Python and/or ModelBuilder.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the ESRI GIS software suite, including ArcGIS Pro and Spatial Analyst.
  • Demonstrated geography, mapping, and cartography skills.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Server and ArcSDE configuration is desired.
  • ArcGIS Online administration experience.
  • Successful completion (within the past two years) of ESRI training courses may substitute for portions of experience and/or time requirements
  • Current ArcGIS Desktop or Pro; Building Geodatabases or like coursework; Cartographic Production; ESRI 3D Creation/Analysis or Visualization coursework; Enterprise Geodata Management or like coursework; Modernizing your Field Workflows Using Fields for ArcGIS.
