Ability to work in one of the following settings: CHSLD, CLSC, hospital (CH) or private setting. Location: Quebec, Canada (home and partner establishments) Contract type: Full-time or part-time (permanent/fixed-term contract depending on needs) Schedule: Day, evening or night depending on assignments and availability Compensation: Up to $32.25 per assignment + bonuses, transportation reimbursement, ongoing training About ASICC-MED: Since 1992, ASICC-MED has supported healthcare settings in Quebec with qualified, reliable and mobile staff. Job summary: The Healthcare Assistant (HAA) performs delegated activities in accordance with Law 90 and established clinical protocols. He/she contributes to the quality, safety and continuity of care for users, under the supervision of a nurse or authorized professional. Main responsibilities (in accordance with Law 90): Administer certain medications via non-invasive routes (oral, topical, sublingual, etc.) according to prescription and protocol. Perform authorized invasive care assistance (e.g., capillary blood glucose, simple wound care, subcutaneous injections if permitted by the environment). Monitor the user's general condition and report any abnormalities to the clinical team. Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), as needed. Apply infection prevention and control (IPC) measures. Collaborate closely with nurses, attendants and other stakeholders. Document interventions and observations in the user's file. Respect confidentiality, professional ethics and industry standards. Requirements and qualifications: Recognized ASSS training โ€“ Law 90 (including medication administration). Experience in healthcare settings (long-term care facilities, retirement homes, home care, hospital): an asset. Knowledge of clinical protocols and limits of practice according to Law 90. Rigour, keen observation skills and professional autonomy. Conforming criminal record for working with vulnerable clients. Driving licence and vehicle: an asset depending on the mandates. Desired qualities: Up-to-date CPR/first aid training. Experience in geriatric care or home care. Ability to handle simple clinical situations calmly and professionally. Excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit.
