Chemours is seeking a Global Maintenance & Reliability Excellence Leader to join our growing Manufacturing Center of Excellence team.
This role is responsible for the corporate asset care program and provides strategic and operational leadership to drive asset reliability excellence, optimize asset lifecycle costs and ensure asset and organization effectiveness.
The role will develop subject matter experts, improve the existing maintenance & reliability systems and renew our Maintenance & Reliability Center of Excellence as part of our continuing journey to Manufacturing Excellence. The leader will work closely with the site/business maintenance & reliability leaders and support functions to meet business objectives and develop talent while standardizing best practices across Chemours.
This position will be available at the Chemours Headquarters in Wilmington, DE and report directly to the Global Manufacturing Center of Excellence Vice President
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Develop, continuously improve, and lead the Chemours Asset Care strategy and execution across all manufacturing sites, leveraging internal experience, external models as well as the Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals principles. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Benchmarking by leveraging external perspectives.

  • Standardize, deploy and provide governance on maintenance and reliability programs globally, including preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance practices.

  • Accountable for establishing, monitoring and actioning continuous improvement of Chemours Asset Care KPIs globally by working with business operations leaders and the Chemours Asset Care network. This role will share accountability with the businesses for Tier 1 metrics including OEE and Maintenance Costs as a % of Equipment Replacement Value, as well as targeted Tier 2 metrics.

  • Lead global rollout of tools, systems, and training, including SAP enhancements, reliability frameworks, and turnaround best practices.

  • Lead cross-site and business collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the development of global reliability networks to ensure best practices and lessons learned are leveraged enterprise-wide. Lead the governance, change management and integration of workstreams focused on breaking down existing organization and initiatives barriers.

  • Coach and develop business and site-level asset care leaders, build technical capability, a continuous improvement mindset while fostering a culture of proactive maintenance and ownership.

  • Partner with Capital & Operations teams on capital projects and major turnarounds, ensuring reliability and maintainability are embedded from design through execution.

The following is required for this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field); Master's degree preferred.

  • 15+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or operations in a chemical manufacturing environment.

  • 5+ years in a maintenance & reliability leadership role, preferably leading enterprise-wide global or multi-site reliability and maintenance programs through cross-functional teams in a chemical manufacturing environment.

  • Proven experience implementing structured reliability frameworks as well as process safety mechanical integrity programs.

  • Proven capability to work, and communicate, across multiple levels (shopfloor to senior leaders) to build value and adoption of change.

  • Technical knowledge across reliability, workflow management and lifecycle asset management.

The following is preferred for this role:
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent certification.

  • Formal training in TPM, WCM, and/or Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher preferred). Lean experience in driving improvement.

  • Strong background in SAP PM, knowledgeable of digital reliability tools, predictive analytics and AI applications
