Job description

Rockwell Automation is looking for an Asset Management Professional or Coordinator to join our team! We believe we are doing things never before possible. And we need the brightest minds to help make that happen – the makers, the forward thinkers, the problem solvers. That's where you come in.

What does an AMP do at Rockwell?

You will work with Rockwell Automation's customers and be located onsite at a customer location. You also interface with field sales and support management, corporate account managers, product group and corporate sales management, and local authorized distributor. Principle responsibilities include all customer repair needs, consulting services, report management, installed base evaluations, renewal parts, Third-party repair, and quantifying Rockwell Automation sales leads.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Manage the repair process by collecting and entering data into SAP daily, obtaining, and presenting quotes including coordination of shipping and receiving activities at the customer site.

  • Identify process improvements regarding the MRO/repair process with focus on plant reliability.

  • Work with customer's Management and Technicians to identify cost savings opportunities.

  • Critical Asset Analysis-Identify critical assets and assist maintenance with predictive and preventative maintenance strategies-help with culture change.

  • Work with OEMs and Repair Facilities to identify probable cause and recommend appropriate corrective actions to reduce number of failure occurrences.

  • Monitor repair turnaround times from OEMs and Repair Facilities. Interpret trends and issues and coordinate with extended team to reduce turn around time.

  • Spares optimization on all equipment.

  • Provide consultative, transactional services to the customer including gathering relevant product data and creating metrics reports and databases that would aid in project status reports.

  • Implement mutually agreed upon process recommendations with plant.

  • Develop customer reports and conduct customer meetings for report out on KPI status and open issues.

  • Process Management (SOP, Training of process, KPI's, Environmental Concerns/Best Practices).

  • Data Recommendations (Inventory Levels, Failure Trends, Repair History Trends, Pricing Considerations, Repair Process, Correct/Right Parts, Obsolescence Management).

  • Monitor equipment trends at Customer Location.

  • Provide Recommendations for using predictive maintenance technologies.

  • Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA), Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), fault tree analysis (FTA), and reliability block diagrams (RBD).

  • Help set required training and standards based on failure modes identified.­

The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • High School diploma or GED

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • 5+ years of work experience

  • Willingness to pursue a Six Sigma Yellow Belt within first year of employment

  • You will have experience working within Microsoft excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)

  • Familiarity in working within an ERP system software environment

  • The ability to stand for at least an eight hour period and lift at least 40 pounds in weight.

  • Overnight travel could be as often as monthly for a few nights a week to conduct business and training.

  • Your work will require mobility in an industrial, plant floor environment and is subject to your client's plant safety requirements.
