Mission

Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an individual for the position of Asphalt Paving Machine Operator based out of Columbia, SC. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. The Asphalt Paving Machine Operator must perform daily maintenance checks and report any mechanical or safety issues to a supervisor. 

Responsibilities

This includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • The ability to operate a paver
  • An accurate and working knowledge of a paver (ex. correct speed, check on material coming out of truck, straight lines)
  • The ability to take a leadership role on the crew
  • The willingness and ability to keep paver maintained and clean
  • The willingness to work nights and weekends
  • The ability to operate equipment in a safe and consistent manner
Job Requirements
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience
  • Experience working in and around construction equipment
  • Driving License (preferred)
