Asphalt Paving Foreman
Salt Lake City, Utah
Currently seeking individuals with Asphalt Paving Foreman experience to fill positions in Salt Lake City, Utah . The ideal paving candidates should have 3 years of paving experience and working knowledge of all asphalt paving procedures and paving equipment.
Responsibilities of the Asphalt Paving Foreman
• Communicate with the Manager, Superintendent, inspectors and/or engineers about the paving project.
• Distribute and discuss the schedule and the equipment needed for the day with the paving crew.
• Confirm loading times, types of material and tonnage totals.
• Review work order to confirm job specifications.
• Discuss the procedures with the crew prior to starting and throughout the project.
• Ensure quality workmanship with rake, roller and paver.
• Monitor and document crew members' time and complete Daily Job report.
Requirements of the Asphalt Paving Foreman
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum 3 years of paving experience
• Current Class C driver's license with good driving record
• Physically able to lift 50 pounds or more, work long hours and weekends if needed outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Working knowledge of all asphalt paving procedures and paving equipment
• Ability to pave according to DOT and commercial specifications
• Experience in reading and understanding site and civil plans (grades and measurements)
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check
