About Doctor Asphalt

At Doctor Asphalt, asphalt is our medium — but people are our purpose. We're a purpose-driven, future-focused asphalt and concrete company that treats pavement like an art form and every project as an opportunity to elevate a property, empower an employee, and strengthen a community.

Our founder, Jake, puts it this way: "My why is to better the lives of my employees, my family, and my clients through the act of asphalt and concrete work. The work is an art form to us."

If you want more than a job — if you want to build skill, pride, and a future — you're in the right place.

  • Prep job sites through cleaning, edging, taping, and equipment setup

  • Contribute to projects that blend engineering discipline with artistic detail
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful job site
  • Represent the Doctor Asphalt Way — craftsmanship, communication, and pride

  • Ability to work on your feet and lift 50+ lbs
  • Comfortable working outdoors in both hot and cold weather
  • Reliable transportation to work
  • Willingness to learn — no experience required, but experience helps
  • Team-oriented mindset and respect for craftsmanship
  • Must be willing to travel out of state for 2–4 weeks at a time, and be available for local work in either Madison, WI or Minneapolis, MN
  • Valid Class A CDL preferred
