Overview Job Title: Sr AS400 Developer Location: Hybrid - King of Prussia, PA (4 days onsite/1 day remote) Job Type: Independent Contract (Contractor / Non-Employee) Start Date: ASAP Pay Rate: $60-65/hr 1099 / C2C Contract Length: 12+ Months Role Summary We are looking for an experienced Sr. Developer - AS400 to join our technology team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in IBM i / AS400 application development, support, and maintenance, along with solid expertise in RPG, RPGLE, CL, DB2/400, and SQL/400. The role involves working on critical business applications, analyzing requirements, developing solutions, and supporting production environments. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, test, and maintain AS400 applications. * Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical specifications. * Develop and support programs using RPG, RPGLE, CL, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and DB2/400. * Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution. * Perform code reviews, unit testing, and defect fixes. * Work on enhancements, maintenance, and modernization initiatives. * Support batch jobs, job scheduling, and system monitoring. * Collaborate with business users, analysts, QA, and infrastructure teams. * Ensure adherence to coding standards, release processes, and best practices. * Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer. Preferred Skills * Experience in code migration or modernization from fixed format to free format RPG. * Exposure to tools such as IBM Job Scheduler, ROBOT, and change management tools. * Knowledge of MQ, Connect Direct, SFTP, or interface integrations. * Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments. * Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
