To thrive as an IBM RPG Developer, you need strong programming skills in RPG (Report Program Generator), familiarity with IBM i (AS/400) systems, and experience with business application development. Expertise in tools such as IBM Rational Developer for i, DB2 databases, and knowledge of CL programming or SQL is typically required.
