JOB SUMMARY:TheIT SeniorDeveloperis a seniorlevel roleresponsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of RPG ILE applications running on an AS/400 platform. Working closely with other developers under the guidance of our IT Director, the purpose of this role is to add on to and/orbuild outsoftware solutions that manage our daily business operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing, coding/developingand performing acceptance testing of all new and existing integrations written on the AS/400 system

  • Troubleshooting and resolving system issues, bugs, and other system defects

  • Creating technical and user documentation

  • Recording and loggingasksin a project management software

  • Participating in code walkthroughs, testing, and migration

  • Efficiently managing projects and tasks that may have overlapping timelines

  • Participating in weekly programming meetingsto work out specific development plans

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree and extensive knowledge of AS/400 (iSeries) platform, including RPG I-IV, RPG Free, ILE, CL, and CLLE

  • Experience in application development, complex code development, applicationtestingandcomponentdesign

  • Subfiles and Display files

  • SQL and DB2 databases

  • DataTransmission (RESTAPI, ODBC, DB2 Web Query, FTP/SFTP, data transfer to Excel/CSV, etc.)

  • XLS/CSV reports

  • Integrated File Systems

  • Project management

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and convert needs into technical concepts
