Job description

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a growing packaging and print manufacturing company specializing in custom, high-end packaging solutions. In this role, you will partner with Sales and Production to develop accurate cost estimates for a variety of projects, including folding cartons, rigid boxes, luxury packaging, trading cards, and specialty print materials.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate material, labor, and production cost estimates for custom packaging and print projects.
  • Review customer specifications, drawings, and production requirements.
  • Determine whether projects should be manufactured in-house or outsourced.
  • Build layouts using CAD software (ArtiosCAD preferred) and maintain estimating/ERP systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Service to provide timely pricing and project updates.
  • Maintain cost databases and ensure estimates are completed accurately and on schedule.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of estimating experience within the printing or packaging manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of paper materials, production processes, and manufacturing costs.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with estimating or ERP software.
  • Experience with ArtiosCAD or similar CAD software is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
