This recruitment is to create an ELIGIBILITY LIST to backfill the Art Teacher role as vacancies occur.


Job Summary

Paint Hive Studio is seeking a passionate and creative Afterschool Art Class Teacher to lead engaging art sessions for K-6 students. This role is designed for individuals who love art, enjoy working with children, and want to teach fun, creative, and engaging art ideas in an after-school setting.

The teacher will be responsible for implementing structured STEAM-based lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and ensuring a fun, safe, and inspiring environment for students. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your artistic talents to life while making a meaningful impact on young artists!

Responsibilities:

  • Implement a comprehensive curriculum that covers a variety of art mediums, techniques, and styles
  • Provide hands-on instruction and demonstrations to help students develop their artistic skills and techniques
  • Encourage creativity, self-expression, and critical thinking in students
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective art program
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
  • General knowledge of the practices used in art instruction; ability to communicate effectively with students and teachers; skill in the use of classroom and instructional materials.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Arts, Art Education, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching art to students of various ages and skill levels, from k-7th grade.
  • Proficiency in a variety of art mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media
