This recruitment is to create an ELIGIBILITY LIST to backfill the Art Teacher ASSISTANT role as vacancies occur.


Job Summary

Paint Hive Studio is looking for an enthusiastic and creativeArt Club Assistantto support our after-school art program for K-6 students. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals with a passion for art and a desire to work with children, seeking hands-on experience in an educational setting. The assistant will help facilitate art activities, prepare materials, and support students in a fun, safe, and engaging classroom environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead art instructor in setting up the art space and preparing materials for art lessons and projects
  • Help maintain a safe and organized learning environment for all participants
  • Provide individual attention and guidance to students/clients who need extra support or have questions during the session
  • Monitor student/client progress and provide feedback to the lead instructor
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions to enhance the art selections and session experiences
  • Ensure all art supplies and equipment are properly cleaned, maintained, and stored after each session
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as documenting headcount and material usage
  • Image documentation-Collaborate with the team to create visually appealing graphics and videos that showcase our After School Art Program and other services. (Photos of children's faces are STRICTLY PROHIBITED)


Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with children and adults in an art-making setting is preferred
  • Strong interest and aptitude in the visual arts, with the ability to demonstrate various art techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and adults
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for fostering artistic expression in students
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the lead art instructor and other staff members
